Professionally, I have spent most of my career in information technology. I have worked or consulted in IT in industries as diverse as automobile racing manufacturing (accounting systems), aerospace (finite-element analysis), and magazine printing (imposition). I have done public-sector consulting at both the State- (strategic dashboards) and County-levels (decision-support training plans).
I have done pro-bono work for a large Police Department. I have also done litigation consulting in the area of information technology.
Academically, I have taught graduate courses at CSU Channel Islands. I have taught both undergraduate and graduate courses at CSU Northridge and UC Irvine. I have taught undergraduate courses at Santa Monica College. I have taught courses in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Organizational Behavior, Knowledge Management, and Innovation and Technology.
I have presented papers on topics in the areas of strategic management, broadband (xDSL), diffusion of XML technologies, open source development, aging of web content, and reflective learning.
In the College of Business and Economics, I was the faculty advisor for many years to MISA--the student professional organization for IS majors.
